UTTARANCHAL ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA was established recently and it has been registered as a non-profit organization in Fairfax, Virginia. It has been a long cherished dream of Uttaranchalis settled in North America to form such an organization to promote the general welfare and common good of the community. The main objective of this association is to preserve and promote our culture and heritage, to organize social activities to bring the community closer, to make people aware of the problems of Uttaranchal, and to channel efforts, help and support to resolve these issues. The association hopes to provide a forum for Uttarnchalis in America to share their views, joys and sorrows and help our children feel more confident and secure about their cultural heritage and values. Also, to organize activities to bring the community together and make it a strong and unified group.

The association would like to take this opportunity to thank Shri Prabhu Negi of Erie, PA for rendering inspiration and guidance for establishing the association formally.
